The Radio-Television News Directors Association of the Carolinas (RTNDAC) Awards are for Region 8, Large Market (Region 8 includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Kentucky).
The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ)'s Green Eyeshade Awards are "In recognition of outstanding journalism among professional journalists in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia".
Public Radio News Directors Incorporated (PRNDI) is a national, non-profit professional association that exists to improve local news and information programming by serving public radio journalists.
