Guilford County Students Connect With International Space Station

The amateur radio connection with the International Space Station lasted around ten minutes. Sixteen out of 20 Guilford County students were able to get their questions in, before the signal faded.

Triad College Becomes Second School in U.S. to Offer Aquarium Science Degree

Davidson County Community College will convert an old facility on campus into an aquarium for student research and community learning opportunities.

Davidson County Community College in Thomasville is one of only a handful of community colleges in the U.S. that offers a degree in zoo sciences. Now the school will be one of only two in the nation that offers an associate’s degree in aquarium science.

NC Schools Are Transitioning From Textbooks to E-Books

All students in grades 3-12 at Mooresville Graded Schools in N.C. receive a laptop computer from the district to use inside and outside of the classroom.

Community Invited to Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony in Greensboro

A candlelight service with survivors and their families will take place before Sunday's community commemoration of the Holocaust.

Monday, April 8 is Holocaust Remembrance Day around the world. It marks the anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising. A community event in Greensboro this weekend will pay tribute to the estimated 11-million people killed during this turbulent time in history.
