Triad Communities Plan Climate Change Rallies

Members of 350 Winston-Salem.org will join other environmental groups and other community members for a climate convergence rally in the city on Thursday.

Cyclists from different points in North Carolina will converge on Raleigh this weekend to draw attention to climate change issues. Winston-Salem and Greensboro, will host rallies to support the cyclists during their journey.

Same-Sex Couples Excluded from Certain Tax Benefits

Orman criticized the American Tax System for promoting financial discrimination against married gay and lesbian couples. She’s been with her partner Kathy Travis for 13 years.

Conflicting Reports on Arrest in Boston Marathon Bombing

Update:  NPR is reporting that FBI sources say no arrest has been made in the case.  Federal, state and local authorities will hold a press conference in Boston at 5 p.m. 

NPR has announced plans to broadcast this event live during All Things Considered.

CNN is reporting that a suspect has been arrested in the Boston Marathon bombing case. NPR is continuing to gather information and will have in-depth coverage during its news programs.

From the age of eight, Randy Fulk worked with his family on the tobacco farm where he grew up. During harvest celebrations and on Saturday nights he played guitar and accompanied his Aunt Bessie on banjo and Uncle Joe on fiddle playing old time ballads.
