The art and athleticism of figure skating and ice dance will be on full display at the 2015 U.S. Figure Skating Championships next weekend in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Among the 400 athletes skating will be twelve Olympians who competed in Sochi, Russia, earlier this year. Former championship figure skaters Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir are making their way to Greensboro as commentators for the Championships as well.

The 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships take place Saturday, January 17th through the 25th with expanded competition, practice, FanFest and access to some of the world's finest skaters including Jason Brown, Ashley Wagner, and Polina Edmunds, and ice dancers Madison Chok and Evan Bates, Maia and Alex Shibutani. With 400 skaters competing in five divisions it is the largest Winter Olympic Sport Championship in the country and it all takes place in Greensboro at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.

Figure skating coach and 1992 Winter Olympic silver medalist Paul Wylie calls Charlotte home. He puts this incredible event in perspective.
