The Community Theatre of Greensboro began celebrating its 65th season this year with a successful run of The Fantastick. Neil Simon's The Odd Couple continues at the Starr Theatre through  November 16th, and the following week, it's their 20th Anniversary Production of The Wizard of Oz

The show opens on November 15th at the Carolina Theatre where it will run through the 23rd with evening shows at 7pm and weekend matinees at 2pm.

On November 22nd at noon you can enjoy an “up close and personal” lunch with Dorothy and all of the The Wizard of Oz characters in the Carolina Theatre's Renaissance Room. Lunch-goers are encouraged to dress in costume with plenty of photo ops, and time to chat and sing the cast of Community Theatre Greensboro's 20th Anniversary Production of the MGM classic. The cost is $12. Tickets to The Wizard of Oz start at just $10.

Executive Director Mitchel Sommers has led the organization for a quarter century, and he shares why Community Theatre of Greensboro's annual production of Wizard holds a special place in his heart.
