Lees-McRae Professional Summer Theatre Presents "The Denim King: The Moses Cone Story"

Lees-McRae Professional Summer Theatre is celebrating its 31^st season with a performance of Oliver the musical through July 3^rd, the hilarious Lend Me a Tenor in mid-July, and then in August an original musical with local flare comes to the Lees-McRae College Theatre: The Denim King: The Moses Cone Story. 

The Denim King: The Moses Cone Story opens Saturday, August 1^st in Hayes Auditorium, Broyhill Theatre in Banner Elk on the Lees-McRae campus. 

David Ford spoke with Lees-McRae Professional Summer Theatre Artistic Director Janet Barton Speer (who wrote the book on which The Denim King is based), actor Dominic Aquilino, and composer performer John Thomas Oaks. We sample from his original music in today's show including "But Today" from his new album Vegas Blue.
