The Hispanic Arts Initiative continues its mission of using the arts as a platform to create positive awareness about Latino culture.

Through its signature events like Punto de Vista—Latino Perspectives, and newly formed collaborations with organizations like Delta Arts Center and the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, Hispanic Arts Initiative continues to engage our community in meaningful ways. This weekend they'll present their very first in what will be a series of events titled “A Bailar—Let's Dance”.

“A Bailar—Let's Dance” with Ricardo Diquez & The Tropic Orchestra will feature professional and non-professional salsa dancers, cash bar and light snacks will be in the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, 251 N. Spruce Street in Winston-Salem, on Saturday night June 13th from 6:30-8:30.

David Ford spoke with Hispanic Arts Initiative Executive Director Maria Sanchez-Boudy.
