Last year, Alexis Stephens and Christian Parsons began a project in which they were thinking big, building small.

The two are the creative minds and muscle behind Tiny House Expedition. When Bethany spoke with them last year, they were beginning construction on their mobile tiny house - 131 square feet to be exact, which they'll take across the country in order to document the individuals and communities behind the tiny house movement. The movement is addressing sustainability, homelessness, and neighborhood revitalization in creative and inspiring ways.

You can hang out with Alexis and Christian before they hit the road at Tiny House Expedition on the Green. The event will be the debut of the couple's completed tiny home, and two other tiny houses will also be on display. You can enjoy music, food, and demonstrations, as well as enter a raffle to win a night in Alexis and Christian's tiny house (find out if it's for you!). Tiny House Expedition on the Green is June 20th from 11:30am to 8:00pm at the green space at 6th and Liberty Streets in downtown Winston-Salem.

The two stopped by to tell Bethany more about the event and to discuss the importance of community in building abundance.
