David Sanborn

David Sanborn is coming to High Point, NC to perform at the 5th Annual John Coltrane International Jazz and Blues Festival on Labor Day weekend. He's playing on Saturday, September 5th, in support of his new album Time and the River.

The festival features touring and local jazz and blues artists, including Earl Klugh, Pancho Sanchez, and Marcus Miller.  Be sure to tune into Triad Arts Weekend next week for David's interview with the Grammy winning multi-instrumentalist and producer, Marcus Miller. Coincidentally, Marcus produced David Sanborn's latest album Time and the River.

Bob Carlin

Bob Carlin is a clawhammer banjo player who calls Lexington, NC home. He has toured internationally and produced many albums under the traditional music umbrella. He has four albums of his own on the Rounder record label, and you have a chance to see him perform some of that music live at The Muddy Creek Cafe on Friday August 21st. The concert is presented by The Fiddle and Bow Society. He spoke with Triad Arts Executive Producer David Ford, and he brought along his banjo.
