More snow, sleet and freezing rain is heading into North Carolina this week.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for much of North Carolina from Tuesday through Thursday morning.   Here in the Triad, there could be half an inch to an inch of snow from this afternoon through tonight, with more tomorrow through Thursday.  Forecasters say up to 8 inches of snow are possible in the mountains over the next few days.  Up to 6 inches of snow are expected along the Interstate 85 corridor. Up to 4 inches of snow could fall elsewhere in the western part of the state.  Up to 3 inches of snow are expected in the central part of the state south of Raleigh. Up to 2 inches could fall in the inland areas of the southeastern part of the state.  Up to 4 inches could fall around Jacksonville, New Bern and the southern part of the Outer Banks.
