Raheem Polk just graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Affairs. He is also one of WFU's Faces of Courage.

Last year, Polk did a summer internship at Crisis Control Ministry in Winston-Salem. At first glance, it was way off the path he believed would help him achieve his goal of becoming a lawyer. But gradually he realized unexpected detours are sometimes the best way to go.  He plans to earn a master's degree in business and then attend law school.

Throughout this academic year, WFDD has aired a special segment during Real People, Real Stories. It is called Faces of Courage. 50 years ago, Wake Forest University integrated its student body. Now it's commemorating this historic decision with Faces of Courage, honoring those who have and who continue to enrich Wake Forest's diverse and inclusive community.
