Real People, Real Stories
Friday, Jul 10, 2009: A Scottish Big-Wheeler
Welcome to 88.5 WFDD’s presentation of StoryCorps—the personal experiences and reflections of residents from across the Piedmont. These stories were originally recorded in the StoryCorps mobile unit this Spring in downtown Winston-Salem. This week: 76-year old Dorothy Lawson and 82-year old Judy Doggett are avid knitting buddies. But to Judy's surprise, Dorothy is also a champion in manuvering some very big wheels. Dorothy is retired and enjoys playing with her 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. As for Judy, she's a professional volunteer and spends time with her six grandchildren.
Each week on Real People, Real Stories, 88.5 WFDD brings you the thoughts and perspectives of North Carolinians who are staying connected with the community and the world.
