Welcome to StoryLine, where everyday people throughout our community talk about the experiences that shape their lives. Lou and Marcia Gottlieb are native New Yorkers. In the 50's, they honeymooned in Winston-Salem, fell in love with the smell of honeysuckle and never left. Today, they describe what it was like being one of the few Jewish residents in this southern city during those early years. StoryLine is a project of the ECHO network. It's made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.

88.5 WFDD, the NPR® news and Triad Arts station broadcasting from Wake Forest University, is the only public radio station of its kind located in the Piedmont Triad. It broadcasts news, information, and public affairs programming covering the arts, people, and institutions in the area from both its Winston-Salem and Greensboro studios.

The state's charter NPR® member, 88.5 WFDD is the longest continuously broadcasting public radio station in North Carolina. It is a member of the North Carolina Public Radio Association.
