Celebrating The Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts

StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. In this week's segment, StoryLine is celebrating the opening of the Arts Council's Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts. Long-time Winston-Salem residents and fervent supporters of the arts, Virginia Newell & Tog Newman, are Honorary co-chairs of the Grand Opening Committee. These ladies are excited about the center's opening and anticipate how it will impact the City of Arts & Innovation. StoryLine is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.

88.5 WFDD, the NPR® news and Triad Arts station broadcasting from Wake Forest University, is the only public radio station of its kind located in the Piedmont Triad. It broadcasts news, information, and public affairs programming covering the arts, people, and institutions in the area from both its Winston-Salem and Greensboro studios.

The state's charter NPR® member, 88.5 WFDD is the longest continuously broadcasting public radio station in North Carolina. It is a member of the North Carolina Public Radio Association.
