Meet the Artist: Barbara Lister-Sink, Pianist and Educator

Educator and Pianist Barbara Lister-Sink.

Renowned pianist and educator, Barbara Lister-Sink is a world leader in teaching injury preventive-technique. She has taught at Duke University, the Eastman School of Music, and Salem College. Currently, she is the Director of the School of Music, Artist in Residence, and Professor of Piano at Salem College.  For many years, Barbara was the keyboardist for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam. Barbara spoke with David about her memories from playing with this group.

Estrangers Release New Album

Winston-Salem based band Estrangers has just recorded a new album, and they did it old-school, to analog tape with Ryan Pritz at El Guapo Recorders on the Southside of Winston.  Season of 1000 Colors was released Friday, June 14th.  Triad Arts Weekend's own Technical Producer and guitarist, vocalist, songwriter Eddie Garcia caught up with Estrangers' vocalist and guitarist Philip Pledger and drummer Drew Braeden.
