NC Shakespeare Festival presents A Christmas Carol

The NC Shakespeare Festival is gearing up for its 2012 presentation of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. The performance includes professional, local and child actors. This year’s production will also touch thousands of students with nearly a dozen SchoolFest matinees planned for school groups across the Triad.

UNCSA School Of Dance Presents The Nutcracker

For over forty-six years The University of North Carolina School of the Arts’ acclaimed Nutcracker production has been one of the Triad’s most eagerly anticipated events of the holiday season. This year, guest artists Veronika Part (Principal, American Ballet Theatre) and Charles Askegard (Principal, New York City Ballet) will dance the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier Prince at the performances on Thursday night, December 13, at 7:30 p.m., and Friday night December 14, at 7:30 p.m.

Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance presents Sordid Lives

Secrest Artists Series presents Danu and Christmas in Ireland

Ever wonder what a Christmas in Ireland would be like? Well, on Wednesday, November 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Wait Chapel on the WFU campus, you can find out. The SECREST Artists Series is bringing Danu to the Triad. The award-winning traditional Irish band brings you all of the energy and beauty of the Emerald Isle with flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, and bouzouki.
