Meet the Artist: Mark Hampton of Hampton House Gallery

Mark Hampton of Hampton House Gallery

For Mark Hampton, framing is in his blood. His parents opened Hampton House Gallery back in 1977, and Mark’s been involved in the business in one way or the other ever since. Hampton House Art and Framing offers paintings, three dimensional art, and digital photographic restoration services, but it’s the framing that has captured Mark’s imagination the most. He’s attended several seminars and taken numerous framing courses, and he’s taught the adult learning course "Presentation and Care of Artwork" at Sawtooth School for Visual Art.

Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance Presents Next to Normal

Rooster Walk 6 Music and Arts Festival is This Weekend

Rooster Walk 1 began in 2009 with 600 people gathering in the scenic foothills just north of Martinsville, Virginia, to listen to live music performed by a few local bands over Memorial Day weekend. Festival organizer Johnny Buck says they weren’t sure at the time whether or not there would ever be a Rooster Walk 2. But the festival has grown steadily ever since, and this year it was recently named among the top 10 summer fests by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine, and currently ranks as the No. 1 Charity Event by Virginia Living Magazine.
