Carlette "The Truth" Ewell is a professional light heavy weight boxing champion and she just won two new international titles. She started as a street fighter in Winston-Salem but now professional trainers are helping her mold her skills to deliver a powerful punch to opponents in the U.S. and abroad.
Carlette lives in Winston-Salem with her son and is currently training to defend her titles.
In our Health & Medicine Report--college students are mixing up dangerous alcoholic cocktails. Dr. Mary Claire O'Brien is one of the investigators in the study SPARC--which is designed to reduce high risk alcohol related consequences. Researchers have discovered a quarter of college students are mixing alcohol with both energy drinks and alcoholic energy drinks in order to consume more alcohol. This study is getting more than 60-million dollars in federal funding. Dr. O'Brien is at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
