Friday, Jul 10, 2009: Paula Stump
Think you're too old to 'shimmy'? Paula Stump doesn't think so. This 20-plus-year veteran of Middle Eastern Dance shows people of all ages how to rhythmicly move their bodies to expressive music. Paula performs under the name "Gypsy" and leads the Ruby Scarab, a bellydance troupe based in Winston-Salem. She also brings nationally recognized experts to the Triad for master classes and performances. Learn more about Ruby Scarab at shimmies-r-us.com.
In our Health & Medicine Report, Dr. Allan Goldfarb specializes in Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Recently, he studied the impact of fruits and vegetables on human metabolism and continues researching the effect of antioxidation suppliments. Email him to lear more about his work at ahgoldfa@uncg.edu
And our commentator Diana Greene longs for the good ol' days of film.
