Wartime Sweeties


This week, Jean Bright gives Catherine Holcombe a World War II history lession not often told.

Jean Bright will be 94 this September. She and Catherine met through the Women Improving Race Relations Book Club. Catherine Holcolmbe teaches English as a second language in the Greensboro Public Library System.

The state's charter NPR® member, 88.5 WFDD is the longest continuously broadcasting public radio station in North Carolina. It is a member of the North Carolina Public Radio Association.
