NC Schools Are Transitioning From Textbooks to E-Books

All students in grades 3-12 at Mooresville Graded Schools in N.C. receive a laptop computer from the district to use inside and outside of the classroom.

More than 150 education leaders from across the country are meeting Thursday at Discovery Communications’ outside of Washington D.C. to discuss the future of digital textbooks and the transition to the digital classroom. Thousands more are joining the one-day conference on-line.

Community Invited to Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony in Greensboro

A candlelight service with survivors and their families will take place before Sunday's community commemoration of the Holocaust.

Monday, April 8 is Holocaust Remembrance Day around the world. It marks the anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising. A community event in Greensboro this weekend will pay tribute to the estimated 11-million people killed during this turbulent time in history.
