FTCC Offers Free Training for Unemployed, Underemployed and Some Military Veterans

Welding is one of the professions in which some people can get free training at Forsyth Technical Community College. It's part of the school's Back to Work program.

More than 100 residents in Forsyth and Stokes Counties will get free job-training. First they must qualify.

Saul Flores speaks at Forsyth Tech

Forsyth Technical Community College hosted a presentation Monday by Saul Flores. In 2010, Flores – then a student at North Carolina State University- decided to walk the path his mother took when she migrated to the U.S. The result was a 5,328 mile journey that took him to his mother’s hometown in southern Mexico and his father’s hometown in El Savador.
