Friday, May 1, 2009: Scott Burdick & Susan Lyon

Imagine being so dedicated to performing one craft that it becomes the driving force of your life.

Now imagine it takes you to remote places around the world.

That's the life of Stokes County couple, Scott Burdick and Susan Lyon scottburdick.com. They're professional visual artists who use brilliant colors, bold lines and layers to translate their experiences for all to appreciate. Susan and Scott describe their style as realistic impressionism and both are national award winners. Art collectors around the world enjoy their work.

Plus, our literary critic Dudley Shearburn reviews Tobacco Road by Erskin Caldwell.
