3-5-2010 Governor Bev Perdue Announces New Business Initiative in Winston-Salem: Governor Beverly Perdue is trying to make it easier for small business owners to get loans. This morning in Winston-Salem she visited a new Downtown Market on Liberty Street and used it as a backdrop to announce a new business initiative that will better support entrepreneurs. Governor Perdue has appointed Scott Dockerty as our state's first Small Business Commissioner to head up the Biz Boost initiative. WFDD's LeShea Agnew has more.

It broadcasts news, information, and public affairs programming covering the arts, people, and institutions in the area from both its Winston-Salem and Greensboro studios.

The state's charter NPR® member, 88.5 WFDD is the longest continuously broadcasting public radio station in North Carolina. It is a member of the North Carolina Public Radio Association.
