Wednesday afternoon, people across the Triad gathered to protest how our tax dollars are used.
In Winston-Salem, they joined the Winston-Salem Tax Day Tea Party--one of thousands of similar grassroot events held across the country on April 15.
In downtown, they gathered at Winston Square Park. WFDD's Kathryn Mobley spoke with several people and here are their comments.
Most of the people at Wednesday's event says they don't mind paying taxes if the money stayed in the county and in the state to fund programs for residents here.
