The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina announced Thursday that it will be teaming up with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina in Winston-Salem, and Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina in Greensboro to make it easier for people to donate and distribute food to those in our community who need it most. Second Harvest Executive Director Clyde Fitzgerald spoke with WFDD's David Ford about Second Harvest and how this new collaboration with Goodwill will benefit our community. It broadcasts news, information, and public affairs programming covering the arts, people, and institutions in the area from both its Winston-Salem and Greensboro studios.
The state's charter NPR® member, 88.5 WFDD is the longest continuously broadcasting public radio station in North Carolina. It is a member of the North Carolina Public Radio Association.
