STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep with a way to manage the high cost of a college education. Lem Turner entered a half-court shot contest in a basketball arena. It happened during a freshman pep rally at Ball State University. Mr. Turner sank a shot from behind the midcourt line, so he won the prize - free tuition for an entire semester. Just for those of you keeping track, that just means you have to win that contest eight times and a university degree becomes affordable. You're listening to MORNING EDITION.
