North Carolina's NAACP gets a boost with the support of the daughter of a former Vice President. Karenna Gore will speak at a news conference in Stokes County Wednesday morning.
Gore is the director of the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond and the daughter of Al Gore. Additionally, Jacqui Patterson, Director of the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program, will also be part of the news conference in Walnut Cove.
Following the news conference, Gore and Patterson will join the NC NAACP and Forward Together Moral Movement on their site visits in the county. Patterson will also speak in Raleigh later in the day.
