The Triad's largest employer is eliminating 400 jobs. Novant Health says it is reorganizing to be more efficient.
The Winston-Salem-based health system is working with those whose jobs have been eliminated to see if they can fill positions the system currently has open, with the net effect expected to be the loss of up to 400 employees.
When asked about the timing of the cuts, Novant spokesperson Caryn Klebba said it was beginning immediately. She did not disclose how those cuts broke down by market, and said the cuts are in almost every area of the organization.
According to the Triad Business Journal, Novant has hospitals in the mountains of North Carolina, the Charlotte region and in Virginia.
