A group of non-profit organizations and some 200 individuals are urging the city of Winston-Salem to become a compassionate city ... by signing onto the international Charter for Compassion.  
 
Jerry McLeese, Chairperson of Interfaith Winston-Salem, along with special events coordinator and board member, Drea Parker, are spearheading the effort to have Winston-Salem designated a compassionate city.  They spoke with WFDD's Audrey Fannin about why they are leading the effort and what it would mean to be a Compassionate City.
