Across the Blue Ridge #113 - New Songs, Country Classics, and Break Time!

Dewey Brown (l.) was bluegrass star Ralph Stanley’s last fiddle player, right up until Stanley’s death in 2016. Now Dewey and his wife Leslie (r.) are running a theater in Liberty, NC featuring live bluegrass and country music shows – and touring with their band, The Carolina Gentlemen. This week we hear new songs from Vivian Leva and from Ralph Stanley's last fiddler, Dewey Brown, and his wife, Leslie, with their band, The Carolina Gentlemen.  We have a great selection of old time mountain and bluegrass music too, as always, plus country classics from Dolly Parton, Webb Pierce and Larry Sparks.  Also this week, the first of our “Break Time” features, letting you hear the full tracks from the music snippets we play between show segments.
