Across the Blue Ridge #127- Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame, Seedtime on the Cumberland

As the festival and fiddlers' convention season gathers steam with events all over the mountain south, we find out about the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame (where ATBR's Paul Brown will emcee this year's induction ceremonies) in Wilkesboro, NC. We also hear about some of the history of Wilkes County documented in the Wilkes Heritage Museum – from glove-making, moonshine whiskey making, NASCAR racing and more – where the Hall of Fame is located. The museum is completing renovations in the old county courthouse, and director Jennifer Furr is excited about a new performance space there that will further expand opportunities to hear regional music.  We also have a preview of Seedtime on the Cumberland, a music and culture festival in Whitesburg, Kentucky which occurs the first weekend in June every year.  Plenty of music, from old to new, goes along with every turn of  a story in this week's show.
