As the U.S. has been roiled by racial tension and occasional violence in recent weeks, we present a program focusing on the sharing of traditions through music and on togetherness. Listen for cuts from a new album by The Crooked Road Ramblers, an outstanding Appalachian mountain string band.  We also hear from bluegrass aces The Dreadful Snakes including Bela Fleck and Jerry Douglas; from singer and harmonica player Peg Leg Sam Chapman; early radio stars The Boswell Sisters with tight harmonies from the 1930s; from gospel and ballad singer Sheila Kay Adams, and many others.  The idea is to make connections, not break them.  Join us for this interesting program that speaks volumes through music.
