The Atlantic Coast Conference is hosting its annual preseason media days in Charlotte coming off a season of high-profile victories. Commissioner Jim Swofford addressed some lingering questions facing the league.

The ACC can boast some major accomplishments from last year's teams. Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson won the Heisman Trophy, Clemson won the national football championship and UNC brought home the men's NCAA basketball trophy.

But as the next season approaches, questions remain. Just two teams - Florida State and Clemson - have combined to win the last six ACC football titles. Swofford says he doesn't see any moves to change the power structure of the league anytime soon.

As for when Notre Dame may finally join the league in football, Swofford says there is an agreement for the Fighting Irish to join the ACC if it choses to give up its independence over the next 20 years. But he says that's not currently being discussed.

Swofford also declined to provide a detailed update on the league's work to launch its own multi-platform network in August 2019.
