Anti-Immigrant Sentiment Spurs Citizenship Rush

This year, the number of Hispanics eligible to vote will reach a record high, with more than 27 million eligible to do so. Less than half of Hispanics eligible voters actually go to the polls. But that may be about to change. In Texas, where Latinos are on the verge of passing non-Hispanic whites as the largest demographic group, many immigrants are now rushing to complete the registration process in time to vote in November.
