AP names Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson ACC Coach of the Year

Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson has been named the 2021 Associated Press ACC Coach of the Year. 

The AP recognition comes on the heels of Clawson being named the ACC Football Coach of the Year last week. 

Wake Forest is celebrating a 10-3 record this season, marking the second time in team history that it has won double-digit games.

Clawson was named Deacon head coach in 2013, vowing to build the top program in North Carolina and compete for championships. He has since become one of just five head coaches to have a winning record with the team.

In addition, five players have earned AP All-ACC honors for this season, the second-most in the Clawson era.

Wake Forest will next head to Jacksonville to battle Texas A&M in the Gator Bowl on December 31.
