Big Winners In Illinois Lottery Won't Get Paid Until Budget Crisis Is Resolved

Anyone who wins big in the Illinois State Lottery for the foreseeable future won’t be able to collect until the state’s ongoing budget crisis is resolved. State officials announced yesterday that anyone who wins more than $600 in the lottery won’t get their money until the state has a new budget – it’s been without one since July 1.
