2015 has been a great year for Seattle singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile. In May, she was tapped to appear on one of David Letterman’s last shows. And her latest album “The Firewatcher’s Daughter” not only hit number one on the the Rock Album chart in March, but also got Carlile her first Grammy nomination. She’s up for Best Americana Album along with Punch Brothers, the Mavericks, Jason Isbell, Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell.

Here & Now’s Robin Young spoke with Carlile in May, and we revisit that conversation here.
