Taiwan is accusing China of human rights violations after a group of Taiwanese citizens in Kenya were deported to mainland China. The Taiwanese were acquitted in a fraud trial in Kenya.

The incident is another flash point in the tense relationship between China and Taiwan. China considers Taiwan to be Chinese territory and says that only Beijing can represent the island in an international context. For more, Here & Now‘s Jeremy Hobson talks with the BBC’s Cindy Sui.
