Public rallies will be held across the country Saturday to express outrage over gun violence, and two Triad cities are hosting marches as part of the observance.

Greensboro's “March for Our Lives” will start at 2 p.m. at Government Square and end at LeBauer Park. It will include guest speakers and performers.

A similar march will be held in Winston-Salem beginning at 2 p.m. in downtown's Corpening Plaza. Police say the event will lead to temporary delays or closures of parts of Second, Cherry, Fourth and Liberty streets.

A panel discussion on gun legislation will be held Sunday at Wait Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University.

The marches follow nationwide walkouts and demonstrations held on March 14, the one-month anniversary of the shooting in Parkland, Florida that left 17 people dead.
