FedEx Adding Hundreds Of Temporary Workers In The Triad

FedEx is planning on hiring 800 seasonal workers in Greensboro.

The company said in a press release that the jobs include package handlers and other support positions.

The Winston-Salem Journal reports FedEx expects to add more than 50,000 seasonal positions throughout its network to help during the busy holiday season.

The company says the majority of workers will be added at FedEx Ground facilities, but that there will be other employment opportunities during the holiday season and throughout the year.

Officials said more than one-third of package handlers hired at FedEx Ground last year retained employment at the end of the holiday season.
