It was the moment that some said cemented Senator Marco Rubio’s position in the GOP race for the presidential nomination.

After being reprimanded by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush for missing a record number of Senate votes, Rubio responded, “I will continue to have tremendous admiration and respect for Governor Bush. I’m not running against Governor Bush. I’m not running against anyone on this stage. I’m running for president because there is no way we can elect Hillary Clinton to continue the policies of Barack Obama.”

Rubio is standing steady in the polls, a solid third place behind Ben Carson and Donald Trump, and a few points ahead of his Florida rival and one-time mentor Jeb Bush.
