The simplicity of the video for Francis and the Lights' song "Friends" is refreshing. Music videos often are packed with imagery and a clear-cut narrative, but Francis takes a different approach by having Bon Iver and Kanye West accompany him in a very simply choreographed, single-shot video that takes place within a soundstage. The dance routine toward the end of the video isn't perfectly synchronized or well-rehearsed, but that's the beauty of it. There's a level of intimacy here that is rarely seen in music videos.
