The Greensboro Youth Council is seeking donations of new and gently worn prom attire by March 1.
The council does this every year through projects called Camille’s Closet and Theo’s Threads.
The donated clothing and accessories are put on display at pop-up shops, which are open to middle and high school students. Volunteers work to help them find an outfit for prom or other occasions free of charge.
To make this happen, the council needs donations of dresses and gowns, nice shirts and pants, and accessories like shoes, jewelry and ties. The items must be in good condition and no more than six years old.
Donations can be dropped off at various locations throughout Greensboro, which can be found on the city’s website.
This year’s pop-up shop will open April 9th through the 12th at Four Seasons Town Centre.
