John Horn and 'A Real Pain'

“A Real Pain” is the name of a new movie that’s written by, directed by, and stars Jessie Eisenburg.

Eisenberg plays David and Kieran Culkin plays his cousin, Benji. David is fussy and controlling — a killjoy. Benji is the opposite: raw and unpredictable. When the two travel to Poland to honor their late grandmother, their differences explode.

The film’s title has two meanings. This is very much the way that David view’s his cousin. But as he comes to understand, Benji is deeply troubled, and the pain he feels is real.
