U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has announced a federal civil rights investigation into the Chicago Police Department. This comes nearly two weeks after a white Chicago police officer was charged with the first-degree murder of a black teenager armed with a knife that occurred last year.

Also today, the Chicago prosecutor declined to press charges against a second Chicago police officer involved in killing a fleeing suspect, in a different incident from last year. The prosecutor released police dashcam video of that incident today.

Rob Wildeboer of WBEZ in Chicago speaks with Here & Now‘s Eric Westervelt about the ongoing developments.
