Gov. Roy Cooper announced Tuesday that a Lithuanian furniture maker will invest $70 million to open its first North American facility in Mocksville.
SBA Home was awarded a state economic grant for the move. The company exports products to 50 countries around the world.
The planned 500,000-square-foot facility is designed for manufacturing and distributing furniture. It will create 250 jobs in Davie County. Those will include positions in manufacturing and warehousing, as well as administrative and managerial roles.
The new positions will include roles in manufacturing, warehousing, administration, and management.
According to a news release, the project is projected to grow the state's economy by $435.8 million.
