Outgoing North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory will meet with Donald Trump as the President-elect continues to fill positions in his upcoming administration.
Trump transition team officials told reporters Tuesday that McCrory would meet Trump in New York on Wednesday. Spokesmen for McCrory's office and the governor's campaign committee didn't respond to an email and text seeking comment.
McCrory conceded to Democrat Roy Cooper on Monday after a Durham County recount still gave Cooper a lead over just over 10,000 votes from 4.7 million cast.
McCrory supported Trump during the presidential campaign and spoke at his rallies. Trump was holding an event Tuesday in Fayetteville.
Trump already had tapped South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley as his choice for United Nations ambassador.
