It’s been two months since Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, and many homeowners there are still rebuilding. City officials say as many as 126,000 homes were “severely impacted” by flooding.

One way to prevent flooding is home elevation. But, as Allison Lee from Houston Public Media reports, the way upward isn’t always straightforward.
