Refugee Resettlement Could Go To A Public Vote In An Idaho Town

The national debate about whether or not to welcome refugees from the war-torn Middle East is big in the presidential campaign and it’s filtered down to some state houses. In one Northwest city, conservative activists are not just talking about the issue, they’re taking action. An initiative campaign has collected more than one-third of the needed signatures to force a public vote on refugee resettlement.

Reporter Tom Banse from the Northwest News Network reports, however, that there’s also pushback in Twin Falls, Idaho.
